I work from several photos of the subject.  The subject needs to send their preferred (colour, 8 x 10) photos to me.  

I spend several days evaluating the photographs and I measure the proportions in the photos that I am using as a reference.  After an initial sketch in pencil I observe my drawing for one or two days then I make adjustments and review the drawing for another couple of days to make sure the portrait has the exact proportions as the photograph.

FInally I begin the colour application in pastel paints.

REQUIRED FROM THE PROSPECTIVE CLIENT

1. A good quality photograph of the subject (from a camera, not a phone).  The photograph will be evaluated upon receipt.

2. A signed Model Release Form (to give me permission to use your photograph as a basic for your portrait).
